"I don't think you're an idiot at all. I mean, there are elements of the
ridiculous about you. Your mother's pretty interesting. And you really
are an appallingly bad public speaker. And, um, you tend to let
whatever's in your head come out of your mouth without much
consideration of the consequences... But the thing is, um, what I'm
trying to say, very inarticulately, is that, um, in fact, perhaps
despite appearances, I like you, very much. Just as you are."
--Mark Darcy, Bridget Jones' Diary
My family is not perfect. We make mistakes and sometimes I secretly threaten to sell the two older kids to the gypsies. I also love my family so fiercely in ways I did not know were possible.
We had family pictures taken by a friend who was in my Little Peppers group. I love the way her photography covers the magic of daily life. Some moms might be upset that not everyone is looking at the camera or that in at least half the pictures Linus is making weird faces. But I love it. I think our official family picture captures us perfectly.
Thanks Katy Tuttle Photography for reminding me to love our family, just as we are.
